The aim of this study is to understand the digital lifestyle of female students in Ahvaz and the role of technologies, especially the Internet and virtual social networks, on the digitalization of lifestyle. New technologies have penetrated all social, organizational and individual spaces in human societies and have affected the daily life, work and knowledge of individuals. The research method was grand theory, in which research data were collected through in-depth interviews and purposeful sampling with 15 female students of the second secondary school from the four districts of Ahvaz. For data analysis and analysis, five methods were used using the 2015 version of Corbin and Strauss: open coding and concept recognition, concept development in terms of dimensions and features, data analysis for context, process input into analysis and category integration. In this study, after analyzing the data obtained from the interviews and coding them, 12 main categories were identified, each of which was analyzed based on the interview text. These categories were categorized into three main dimensions: conditions, action-interaction, and consequences. The conditions dimension includes categories such as attractiveness and pleasantness, curiosity and excitement, isolation and withdrawal, feeling behind modern technologies, and conformity. In the action-interaction dimension, categories such as overcoming problems and escaping reality, maintaining and continuing intimate relationships by reducing spatial distance, interpersonal communication by going beyond family limitations, and boldness and self-expression were extracted. Finally, the consequences dimension included leisure time, information dissemination and information seeking, e-commerce, and thrift and accelerated access to facilities and services.
