Adolescence is the period of self-recovery in the context of life and recognition of identity. This period provides the teenager with the opportunity to experience different beliefs, roles, duties and obligations. It seems that in the recent era, virtual space has a colorful role in the formation of the identity of teenagers. The aim of the current research is to investigate the lived experiences of teenage girls of personal and family identity affected by being in the virtual space with a psychological approach in Karaj city. In this regard, using the qualitative approach and phenomenological method, interviews were conducted with 19 teenage girls aged 13 to 16 years. From the content analysis of the interviews, 3 main categories of "identity relations", "identity platform" and "identity fluidity" were extracted. The theme extracted from these categories was under the title "Individual and family values affected by the duality of the real and virtual world"; Because the people who had identity dispersion, their use of virtual space was less than 4 hours, and the people who were in the stage of interruption and identity recording, used virtual space for more than 4 hours a day and night. Also, people with identity fragmentation used cyberspace as a tool to progress, increase awareness, and update public information, but people who had an identity gap used cyberspace to internalize the opinions of others. Also, the most used application by teenage girls is Shad application and the least used is Snapchat and Pinterest.
