Analysis the role of perception in rural women's resilience against earthquakes

Abstract

One of the international strategies to reduce disasters is to build the resilience of communities, especially vulnerable groups such as women, against natural disasters. Resilience of rural women requires understanding the importance of risks and the necessity of their management. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate how rural women in Darzab district perceive earthquake risk and their level of resilience against this risk. The current research is applied in terms of type and descriptive-analytical in terms of method. The necessary information collected by using documentary sources, statistics, research, articles and scientific books and by field survey based on questionnaires and direct observation. The result of the present article is that the perception of risk through cognitive and emotional influence on economic and social resilience, and with the increase of economic base and social status, the level of risk-taking of the women's society decreases and their ability todeal with the crisis during the earthquake increases, and finally resilience Women find social and economic resilience against environmental hazards such as earthquakes through the understanding of risk. At the end, economic and social solutions are given to increase the resilience of women during earthquakes.
