Abstract

Bullying and its victims are among the most common problems in students at school. The aim of current research is to study the psychological reactions and aftermaths of victims of bullying in girls' school. This is a qualitative phenomenological study which includes 22 female student whom had been victims of bullying in Tabriz City, Iran. Researchers applied purposive sampling and semi-structure interview to reach the saturation needed. Data analysis by open codes and recognition of the main and subsidiary themes revealed that reactions of victims of bullying could be categorized in psychological, behavioral, cognitive, social, academic, physical and religious dimensions. Due to negative effects of bullying on students, the preventive intervention and social support are essential to help this group of students.
