Exploring the Middle-aged women's strategies to deal with aging and age-related physical changes

Abstract
This study, as a part of more extensive research, which aims to explore and describe how the middle-aged women deal with ageing and physical age- related changes. For achieve this Purpose, Grounded theory was used as qualitative research methodology. With Theoretical and Purposive sampling, selected 20 middle aged women between 40 to 60 years old as participants. The information was gathered by using in-deep and semi-structured interviews and has been analyzed in three stages of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding.
The findings of the study were created in the form of seven subcategories. Coping strategies used by middle-aged women and were extracted from the interviews include: Re-evaluation of normative situations, physical reconstruction and improvement, status identity development, dignity, resistance and denial of age identity, prevention and information seeking, consensus and adjustment. The core concept emerged is "Reflexivity female identity in the context of the temporal body".
In general in this paper, coping strategies of women is classified into four types, namely "self-oriented emotion-focused strategy," self-oriented problem-focused strategy", body-oriented emotion-focused strategy," body-oriented problem-focused strategy. Choose coping strategies can have different consequences for women's physical and mental health, so pay attention to them is very important in the current era.
