Relationship between A ttachment Styles and Girls' Thinking Styles Functions, among High School Female Students in Hamadan

Abstract

The aim of the current study was investigating the relationship between attachment styles and thinking styles functions of high school female students in Hamadan. Chosen sample was 340 students from four high schools. Girl tudents were chosen randomly using cluster sampling method. Thinking style function was assessed using sternberg and wagner questionnaire and attachment style was evaluated using Collins & Read Adult Attachment questionnaire (reviewed version). Descriptive statistics and correlation matrix, multivariable regression, and t-test analyze were used for data analysis. The results indicated that secure attachment styles rather than insecure style have more impact on prediction of judgmental, executive and egislative thinking styles and positive correlation between them was - atistically significant. In addition, there was negative correlation between thinking styles and insecure attachment style.
