The Relationship between Intimacy Attitudes and Mental Health among Physically Disabled Females in the City of Esfahan

Abstract

The PUlpose of this research is to de'ennine the relationship between mtimacy atiitudes and mental health among the Physically disabled females. The subjects consisted of 100 unmarried female members of Society of Disabled in the city of Isfahan who were selected randomly. Tbe ins'ruments were included Intimacy Attitudes Scale and General Health Questionnaire GHQ). For data analysis, Pearson correlation cnefficients were nsed. The results showed a significant positive correlation between intimacy attitudes and mental health in Physically disabled females. The resnlts also shnWed a Ignificant negative correlation between intimacy attitudes and social ",alacljustmen' and between intimacy attitudes and depression in physically disabled females. But 'he correlation between intimacy attitudes and anXiely vere not significant in the subjects.
