Effectiveness of Self-Regal at ion Skills Training on Happiness Case of 1st Grade High-School Girls

Abstract
This study aims to explore the effectiveness of training self-regulation skills on happiness of high-school girls. The research method was quasi experimental with pre-test, post-test and a follow-up plan with control group. The statistical population includes 137 first-grade high-school girls in district five of Tehran. The sample consisted of30 students that were listed randomly in experimental and control groups. The research tools were Oxford Happiness Inventory and Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ). The experimental group participated in six sessions of selfregulation skills training, but no interfering was exerted on the control group. Analysis of variance with repeated measures and T-test for independent groups was performed to analyze the data. The results revealed that there is a significant difference between the two groups (P<O.OOO 1). The self-regulation skills training increased the happiness of students and also they received high scores in happiness after one month. Moreover, the experimental group showed better performance in self-regulation learning.
